into three broad categories:
1. Vegetables market
2. Shopping Areas
3. Offices/ Institutional areas.
Identification
of Problems: Identification
of problems of waste management through sites visits and consultation with
local population at the time when the community is generally available for
interaction.
Peoples
Participation is essential in the following areas:

Reduce
Reuse and Recycling of waste.
Ø
Not
to throw the waste / litter on the streets, drains, open spaces, water bodies
etc.
Ø
Primary
collection of waste.
Ø
Managing
excreta of pet dogs and cats appropriately.
Ø
Pay
adequately for the services provided.
Finding out
Optional Solutions:
Having identified the
deficiencies in the systems and known the public perceptions, the next
essential steps are to think of optional solutions to tackle the problems,
workout the cost implications and level of public participation needed.
