Bulk Modulus (K)

When body is subjected to three stress in three direction with like and equal direct stress then the ratio of direct stress to the corresponding volumentric strain is called as "Bulk Modulus".
It is denoted by "K" (capital letter K).

Mathematically,

tan Φ= DD'/AD

∴ Shear strain, Φ= X/L
